Well today was an interesting day. I woke up at 3am with my foot throbbing. I stepped on a hot peice of charcoal on Wed. I thought it was healing just fine. I guess I thought wrong. My foot was throbbing and was red around the blister. I stumbled to the bathroom for some neosporin and a bandaid. I thought by the time Bella woke up I would be ok. I was scheduled to work in the nursery at church and we are so short staffed I hate to ever miss. Bella woke up at 7am and my foot was worse. When I saw I had red streaks coming from the blister and traveling up to my ankle I thought... hmmm.... I guess I should probably get this looked at.
I took Bella over to my mom's and journied to HEB Hospital. What a great experience considering the issue at hand. The nurses were so nice and there was no wait at all. The doctor even came in with a smile on his face and a pep in his step. Sure enough I had an infection. Since I have not had a tetanus shot since 8th grade I had to have another in the arm. Not too bad. I thought I was good to go. Then the nurse came in with a HUGE needle. " Please pull your pants down and yes this is going to hurt". WOW... Yes it did and still does hurt.
I am thankful for the staff and doctors that took care of me and had me in and out within an hour. I am thankful for the health insurance my company provides to me.
Note to self don't walk around barefoot. Oh and by the way, my foot would have been fine if I wasn't barefoot all day yesterday painting my bedroom furniture!!! So so shabby. Went from everything Oak to distressed white. When I came home from the hospital with my foot all bandaged up, I walked into my bedroom and though awww it was all worth it.
Goodness gracious... that is wild! Glad you are feeling better!!! How's your behind feeling from that good ole shot ??
